Nobody likes cover charges. It creates a barrier for admission, one that is counter productive to a core pillar of our mission: to create an inclusive space for our community to experience Great Live Entertainment. To support our Live Music Program, The Main Pub has implemented an alternative model which allows for us to retire our need to charge a cover.
When hosting live music, The Main Pub will charge an Entertainment Fee; an 18% surcharge on checks in our Live Music Designated Area*
The Entertainment Fee collected goes to offset a portion of the wages we pay our talented musicians. We hope you recognize how this small contribution from our guests, supports the music program we’ve built for you and the community at large, without any upfront costs.
*A Live Music Designated Area would be the bar area, or patio (only when live music is playing). E.g. If the band goes on at 9, open checks in the area will have our Entertainment Fee applied.
**There may be an extremely rare occurrence when The Main Pub charges a cover – and we will be very clear in our advertising for that “Special Ticketed Event.”
