Glenn and Mary Beaulieu opened The Main Pub Tavern in 1980 in a cozy 14-foot-wide, 50-foot-long space, serving only beer under a Tavern license. Within a year, they secured a liquor license, purchased the building, and expanded into neighboring storefronts—once a vacuum cleaner shop and a carpet store—to create a lounge and dining areas.
In 1985, they purchased and demolished the lime-green Pine Hurst Grocery Store to make room for additional parking. By the 1990s, they further expanded, adding the atrium to enhance the dining experience.
Now, more than 40 years later, The Main Pub remains a cornerstone of Manchester, proudly holding the title of the town’s longest-running family-owned restaurant.
In 2008, Keith Beaulieu proudly took the reins of The Main Pub from his parents, bringing a fresh energy and a passion for great food, craft beer, and live music. Under his leadership, the restaurant has continued to evolve while staying true to its roots.
In 2012, Keith oversaw a major kitchen renovation and expansion, improving food quality and service efficiency. In 2018, he further enhanced the guest experience by adding a spacious 100+ seat patio and a private parking lot.
During the COVID shutdown, The Main Pub underwent additional updates to refresh and modernize the dining and bar areas. The sound system and Main Stage were also upgraded, setting the stage for the return of live entertainment.
Whether you’re thirsty for a familiar domestic beer, a locally brewed beverage or an atypical craft brew that you won’t find anywhere else – The Main Pub has your suds. We also have a huge selection of fine wines and premium liquors including bourbons, whiskeys, vodkas and tequilas.
Our menu offers a variety of delicious options to satisfy every taste, along with a unique catering menu perfect for gatherings of any size. For private events, our dining area, lounge, and atrium can accommodate groups of up to 75 guests.

Keith set out to bring a wider variety of artists and bands in as entertainment, constructed a custom built stage, installed a concert PA system. Some of the finest local (Kung Fu, Bronze Radio Return) and nationally (Tim Reynolds, Karl Denson) touring bands have since graced the stage at The Main Pub.
